With Hertex Fabric, designer John Jacob Zwiegelaar has created a covetable range of fabrics in perfect moody hues and luxurious textures.

While designing the Kanonberg home belonging to Hertex Fabrics owner Peter Herrmann and his wife Coba,

designer John Jacob Zwiegelaar realised the need for a fabric range of perfect neutrals.

Collaborating with the couple and their daughter Katrin, Studio H, a new fabric range, was created.

With the thinking that colours need to have neutral tones to them – dirt, umber, brown – the pair founded the range out of a desire for a lifestyle brand which speaks a universal language.

‘Often neutrals appear too cold or just off, in application,’ says Zwiegelaar.

Hence the creation of a palette that carefully incorporates warm undertones inspired by nature.

The new fabric range is designed to appeal to everyone from homeowners to designers, and to be suitable for all projects. The colours are very focused, very light and can be used in a variety of different applications, ultimately providing the client with a palette of desirable textures perfectly calibrated and perfectly affordable.

Studio H – which focuses on plains, as opposed to patterns – is designed to work in tandem with Zwiegelaar’s new paint range, ‘John Jacob’s Top Ten Neutrals,’ with colourways relating directly to the fabrics. Together the schemes provide a foolproof toolbox for timeless and liveable interiors.

Studio H is available in Hertex Fabrics’ 13 showrooms countrywide.
